About the Brand
Technivorm was founded in 1964 by Gerard Smit, a Dutch engineer who built the company on a simple philosophy — life is too short to drink bad coffee. In 1968 he designed the first Moccamaster, and it has been hand-assembled at the Technivorm factory in the Netherlands ever since, with every brewer tested against strict internal standards before it leaves the floor. The range is certified by the European Coffee Brewing Centre (ECBC) for meeting the industry benchmark for a correctly extracted cup.

The CDT Grand is Technivorm's high-volume brewer, built for small offices and cafés that need to serve a room, not just a cup. A single brew cycle produces 1.8 litres — around 14 cups — in six minutes, and the machine is rated to handle up to 115 cups an hour across a working day.
